Watershed Studies

Logan River Watershed 

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), with the Cache Water District, Crockett Avenue Irrigation and the cities of Logan, North Logan and Hyde Park as the project sponsors, is proposing to partially fund through the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act [Public Law (PL) 83-566], the Logan River Watershed Plan in Cache County, Utah. The plan will address flood control and flood protection, evaluate measures to reduce water loss and increase efficiency in the current irrigation delivery system and consider additional recreational facilities. Wellsville/Mendon Watershed 

The United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS), with assistance from Cache Water District as the project sponsor, and several co-sponsors including Cache County, Wellsville City Irrigation Company, Wellsville City, Mendon City, and Wellsville Mendon Conservation District, are considering proposed improvements within the Wellsville Canyon and Threemile Creek Watersheds, in Cache County, UT.

The proposed project would prevent or reduce flooding, enhance wildlife habitat, and improve irrigation water delivery.
